Cavallino is the journal of Ferrari history, covering Ferraris old and new for over 40 years. It's the most reliable, most trusted source of everything Ferrari. Ever since the first issue in 1978 Cavallino presents extensive stories and detailed information from knowledgeable experts and enthusiasts who share the passion for Ferrari. All Ferraris are unique, and each one has its own chassis serial number. This is how the Ferrari world keeps track of all the great cars. Cavallino is the only publication that prints the serial number for every Ferrari mentioned in our stories, articles, and race results.

Kistler Olivier Bidaud About 230 participants set off on French roads to discover the country's cultural heritage, and to do battle in the timed events (competition or regularity) on four circuits as well as eleven special stages on clased roads. It was a journey of around 2000 kilometres, from Paris to Cannes in five legs, and to make sure that this anniversary remained firmly engraved in everyone's memory, organizer Peter Auto had added a night stage to the program. |

36 | Feature | The 250 GT in the Tour de France Automobile 5th Tour de France Automobile - September 17th to 23rd, 1956 Germain Malléjac Maurice Louche Archives At the end of the 19th Century, the French newspaper "Le Matin" organized a speed race through France, running from the 16th to 24th July, 1899, over a distance of 2.175 km. The first "Tour de France Automobile", reserved for cars and motorcycles, saw the triumph of Panhard & Levassor autos which won the first three places. Thereafter, several "Tours" took place, from 1906 through 1914 prior to the First World War, and then between the two World Wars from 1922 to 1937. It was in 1951 that the "Tour de France Automobile de Nice à Nice" started again, thanks to the Automobile Club de Nice - Côte d'Azur, with the Ferrari 212 Exports winning the first three places. |
